Artist's Statement:
Inspiration for this painting came on a very windy day. The clouds moved along quickly. Around noon, curtains of snow fell in Idaho. By 1:00 pm, Eastern Oregon was pummeled by rain and hail. We witnessed the storm gather its strength from the banks of the Grande Ronde River, Washington. As the temperature fell and the light on the canyon walls became increasingly dramatic, all of our senses were attune to the energy of the oncoming storm.
